Tribal Engagement Intern, Vineyard Wind
New Bedford, New Bedford, MA, US The Tribal Engagement Intern position support the Tribal Relations Team with related tribal outreach activities. This internship lasts 12 weeks and has a flexible start date. It is located in our New Bedford, MA office. Intern will assist Tribal Relations Lead with engagement outreach, tracking and follow-up, attend events and meetings with Tribal nations in the Northeast, assist Tribal Relations Lead with internal communications and regulatory reporting, and  be encouraged to be creative and develop initiatives to support Vineyard Offshore’s collaborative work with Tribal Nations. Open to a college senior or recent graduate proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, PPT, Excel), with a keen attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills, solid problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, effective time management skills. Social Media Intern. The Elizabeth Buffum Chace Center in Warwick, RI,  is seeking a part-time social media intern to help increase awareness and engage our audience through social campaigns about our domestic violence and sexual assault services and events. The ideal candidate will showcase strong communication skills, attention to detail, creativity, adaptability, initiative, and passion for the cause. The social media intern helps organize, schedule, and post content, assists staff in brainstorming new ideas for honorary months. For example: Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Sexual Assault Awareness Month, etc., stays on top of social media trends, changes in the landscape and best practices in order to support new strategies and help maximize social media exposure, helps with “live” social media coverage at events as needed Position would be a hybrid with mostly remote work and some in-person. The Public’s Radio Internship : Students can participate in semester-long internships for 3 course credits at The Public’s Radio 89.3FM in RI & MA. The station reserves two internship spots for us each semester. Interns will work two, four-hour shifts per week in the newsroom writing and producing stories for the daily newscasts. Duties include: researching, interviewing both in the newsroom and out in the field, editing audio, and writing news copy. Interns will also post their stories on the RIPR website and assist with other duties in the newsroom. This is a great opportunity to learn the core skills of broadcast journalism while working alongside experienced journalists. Internship at The New Bedford Light: The New Bedford Light is a free, nonprofit, nonpartisan news site dedicated to fact-based coverage of important local issues and diverse communities. Interns will work approximately eight hours per week in the newsroom and in the community writing and producing stories, videos and/or social media posts. Duties may include researching, interviewing both in the newsroom and out in the field, editing video and audio, and writing copy. This is a great opportunity to learn the core skills of journalism while working alongside experienced journalists. Interns are paid $15/hour and can receive college credit through ENL397.
